Mother lives close to the Wash/Ore line, but I'm over here in Missouri. Oregon might be a wonderful place to live, but I had long heard the jobless rate was kind of high. But if it's your home and it makes you happy, I wish you continued years in it. Me, I'm never sure where I'd like to be... I suspect staying here is comfortable enough.
To be honest, I'm only here because my company went out of business and it's going to take some time to get my feet under me in regards to a workable freelancing situation. I don't much care to live here, nor in WA. Where, I'm not sure, but first chance I get I plan to be off exploring other places to inhabit. Preferably ones with a great deal of storm activity.
I oft wonder how many of us are just where we're at because that's where life has placed us. In the end, making the most of your opportunities where you are is a talent. And if it leads you to another home, so much the better. I wish you lots of luck on getting your freelancing running to speed, and all the success you can handle. As for storm activity, why on earth would you want that? I'm in Southern Missouri... along the edges of tornado alley. And the thunderstorms are always a hazard to my computer's life and limb. I sure like the country here, but the atmosphere is a little violent.
