Somewhat of a drawing project for school that involves dissecting my beasts through the use of odd, false, or wanna-be diagram-type windows.
So, I decided the name for the pieces (at least for now) would be Pseudo(false)-Anato (short for anatomy) diagrams (you know what those are). Which doesn't quite make sense I suppose, but I like it nonetheless.
Am still eh about the background and box colors - originally they were reddish which brought out the variation colors in the critter, but it didn't look right. Additionally, this ended up being a great coloring experiment and you can probably pick out the three different parts where I sat down at three different times and tried to get the style I wanted.
Spent probably 20hrs on coloring this silly thing; original size ~ 11x15" @ 250dpi.
Photoshop over simple sketchbook line work, prints available upon request.
wow i love the aquatic look...the coloring and shading is awsome and the facial expression is really suiting, the anatomy and muscles seem to be perfetly lined up to! good job! love it
this is cool I was just thinking of something! I dunno if it would be able to understand through this but maybe it could be helpful. like where two muscle x-ray boxes overlap that could be where you show the bones. I dunno I just thought of it, but your picture is already gnarly!

Damn, your creatures are so scary and so well drawn!
