that may be the coolest thing I have ever seen.... what's your drawing strategy? do you typically start with one part of the beast, ie - the head, and build from there? or is it always different? Do you study anatomy books?

It doesn't really matter, it usually depends on my mood. I switch off between starting at a point and making stuff up as I go along, or doing a quick gesture sketch first to plan out where I'm going.

I don't study anatomy books, although at this point I should. I have some, but I only use them occasionally, when it's necessary to be accurate.

wow, well you are amazing. i have drawn beasts all my life since i was a little kid. i would be a happy man if i attained your level of skill. have you ever considered drawing beasts fighting each other? that would be awesome!!!!
