Desperately trying to destress, so. Noodlehugs! And then I need to finish my art test.
I have this sequence in my head that occurs some number of years after Jeih and Kyrin have left to Bond. It’s spring, and Ary is heading out for an errand when a platinum blonde Lock comes out of nowhere and broadsides him in a squiggly noodlehug. It only takes him a few seconds to recognize the little Lock as Jeih and Kyrin’s descendant (calling her Jihrin for now), and they leap into the Rift doing gleeful greeting noodle squiggle-dances and frolic for a while.
I get the feeling Jihrin sticks close to Aryian for a long time. I’m fairly certain he teachers her, is her mentor, and I think Aryian regains a lot of the joy he lost when Iro left in interacting with her. Jihr is a sprightly, happy thing, but isn’t without her fair share of mischief! I also get the sense that, as Aryian’s pupil, she accompanies him everywhere on errands and helps with Jarovin. I feel she establishes her connection with Jarovin very quickly, and the two come to share a close relationship much in the same way Jarovin and Aryian do.
Jihr strikes me as such a curious creature, always moving and asking but she doesn’t really have the obnoxious or intrusive elements that so defined Jeih. I’ve been trying to figure out where her color comes from - in part I think it comes from Jeih, and in part Jarovin, through Jeih. But we shall see.
I have a question! I love your art, and I'm trying to create some creatures of my own for a project I'm making for myself. Do you have any tips or hints or words of wisdom when it comes to making worlds/creatures? Or what inspires you? I'm always asking artists for advice and I'd love some from you if you're willing to give it! ((if you're interested, I only have a small gallery for the project, but it's in a folder titled ENIGMA if you'd want to look at it and give me specific pointers)
