This is quite lovely Hons fits in perfectly with the scenery (opportunity to scare random passer-by? ) and don't apologize for having to include a watermark on your work. It's your work and people should respect that; if including a watermark is what it takes for that to happen, then just go ahead and do it. We will still love your work regardless
Wonderful picture. It really captures the majestic beauty of the lock. I also kinda like your watermark and for some reason it makes me think of the Asian watermarks that I've seen on the old woodblock prints.
I think the best form of watermarking is a large, faint logo over the center of the picture. Make it faint enough so that it's more or less unnoticeable, but when the watermark is off to the side, thieves can just crop it off, or the really tenacious can use the clone tool over it if they really want to. When the watermark is in the middle, it's a lot more difficult to cover up. It's also a good idea to include a Web address of some sort so that if a thief decides to upload elsewhere anyway, the watermark will at least link back to you and, if nothing else, act as publicity. Corner and edge marks are unfortunately easy to bypass, though.
Best of luck in your anti-thief endeavors, how ever you go about them.

I agree with alswaiter. It does suck, but it sucks more for the people who are trying to rip you off, haha. A necessary precaution. Just remember plagiarism just means that whoever is being stolen from knows what they're doing
