Going back to my roots - it's been what, 9, 10 years since I've done any wildlife art? A good long time.

Not as rusty as expected, yet still a long ways to go. Though it definitely felt good to do real subject matter again. ^_^

9x12" India Ink on smooth Bristol, around 10hrs or so. This goes to my grandparents.

I'm sure your grandparents will love it. Nothing wrong with going back to your roots, and sometimes it even makes you money. Of course, if your people are thinking to hang it on their wall, it's probably better to give them something they can relate to. (Can just see "Oh it's lovely dear. Eh, what is it?" at the exchange of some of your wilder creations.

That's awesome! All though from the title, I thought you had made a buffalo wolf creature. Any way, great work, I love the detail and the feathers are a nice touch.
